Join the Rocky Mountain Tigers as we spend an afternoon with Monet on January 4, 2020! The Denver Art Museum
is featuring a world-class exhibition of Claude Monet, the celebrated
French impressionist artist. The exhibition, showcasing more than 120
paintings spanning Monet’s entire career, will focus on the artist’s
enduring relationship with nature and his response to the varied and
distinct places in which he worked.
Along with the exhibition, the College of Arts and Science is stretching far Beyond Campus to come to Denver! Beyond Campus is A&S’s amazing lecture program that brings the classroom to alumni. Denver is one of the first cities outside of Missouri to host this program.
Join A&S and the Rocky Mountain Tigers for an update from Mizzou and then Professor of Art History, Michael Yonan, will put this exhibit in perspective by sharing his research with a discussion titled, “An Artist and a Street: Claude Monet’s Boulevard des Capucines, 1873.”
