Catherine A. Allen, BS HE ’68, DHL ’05

Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer, The Santa Fe Group

For more than 40 years, Allen has been an outstanding thought leader in business innovation, technology strategy, and the financial services industry. She is Chairman and CEO of The Santa Fe Group, the strategic advisory services company with expertise in cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and risk management. The Santa Fe Group provides management for strategic industry and institutional projects, including the Shared Assessments Program, focusing on third party risk management. Allen was the founding CEO of the financial services industry consortium, BITS. Earlier in her career, Catherine served in several senior executive positions at Citicorp and Dun & Bradstreet and was a consultant to CBS, Inc. She represented Citibank as founding Chair and President of the multi-industry Smart Card Forum. She currently serves as a board member of Synovus Financial Corporation, El Paso Electric Company, and Belief Agency, and is a member of the Risk, Energy and Natural Resources, External Affairs and Nominating and Governance Committees. She also serves as the Chair of the Security Committee for El Paso Electric. She formerly sat on the Advisory Committee for Houlihan Lokey and served on the boards of Stewarts Information Services, NBS Technologies, Analytics Pros and 3G Technologies. Since 2013, she has served as a member of the Dean’s Strategic Leadership Council for the College of Human Environmental Sciences. The College honored her with a Citation of Merit in 1999. She co-founded The Mizzou Alumni Association’s Griffith’s Leadership Society for Women in 2005, and she received the Society’s Spirit of Martha Leadership Award in 2015.
