Regional Tiger Pride Awardee
Sandy Hamilton, BSAg ’82 Regional
Tiger Pride recipient, Sandra Hamilton,
BS Ag ’82, is the go-to woman
in the Rocky Mountain Tigers Chapter.
A meteorology major, Sandy currently
works as a software engineer. The Rocky
Mountain Tigers Chapter defined Sandra
Hamilton as a multi-talented alumni
leader. Sandy has served the chapter
in two officer roles and managed several
major activities. While Sandy readily
offers to “get things done” for
events, from socials to watch parties,
she offers her talents to improve the
chapter’s ability to manage its
affairs. As treasurer, she developed
accounting and money tracking procedures – procedures
that are still used. She also maintains
the chapter web site. A multi-talented
leader, Sandy organized the RMT’s
Women’s Brunch diversity event
last year. She identified the speaker,
developed the program, selected the
menu, and coordinated the details with
the location staff. She attended the
event and represented the chapter board.
Twice Sandy and her family have hosted
the chapter garage sale, donating numerous
items, in addition to feeding those
who helped staff the event. She has
also served as chapter host for several
athletic watch parties throughout the
metro Denver area. This includes driving
a minimum of 30 miles to any of these
activities. Attending almost every
board meeting, Sandy presents new ideas,
as well as gives constructive feedback.
As Vice President, she substitutes
for the president, representing the
chapter, providing support or leading
an event. The Chapter honored Sandy
with its 2001 Officer of the Year service
award, in recognition of her outstanding
service.
