Dick Dickinson

Dickinson received his Bachelor of Journalism degree from MU in 1954. While at MU, he was a member of the Delta Chi professional journalism fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and Mizzou's NCAA championship baseball team.

Dickinson has been active in affairs for the Mizzou Alumni Association for more than 40 years. He has served on the national board of directors of the alumni association and helped to develop alumni chapters in Los Angeles, Seattle and Tucson and held leadership positions in all three chapters.

After graduating and completing military service, Dickinson worked as a public relations assistant with the Shell Oil Company in Wood River, Ill. In 1962, he moved to California to serve as the human resources manager for Ducommun Metals and Supply Company.

Until he relocated to Tucson in 1999, he served in managerial and executive positions with major corporations in the sports-recreation, aircraft-aerospace, high-tech adhesives and sealants, and screen-printing businesses. He is currently working in promotion and sales activities with the Tucson Sidewinders, the AAA-baseball affiliate of the Arizona Diamonbacks.

He is married to the former Claire Danielson, and has one son and two grandchildren.
