Let your Mizzou background work for you.
Join Us for a Webinar Sept. 28 and Become a Networking Rock Star
Sharpen your networking skills at a free webinar on Tuesday, September 28 at 11 am CST led by Mizzou alumna Heather R. Huhman. The overall goal of networking is to create a two-way, mutually beneficial relationship. Just because you follow someone on Twitter, read their blog or friend them on Facebook does not mean you are reaching that end goal. Networking goes beyond the initial meeting whether online or offline.
This one hour webinar will cover tips for perfecting your elevator pitch, retaining information about key conversations, timely follow-up and managing your network.
Huhman, founder of Come Recommended, is passionate about helping students and recent graduates pursue their dream careers. She is a career expert and contributor to a number of career-related columns and websites. Huhman resides in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband, dog and two cats.
Registration information will be available shortly.

Network with Local Alumni
Are you new to an area or looking for a way to network with other Mizzou alumni? The most powerful and effective job search strategy is networking. The wider your network, the greater your opportunities will be. Chapter events such as socials, watch parties and other gatherings provide an excellent way to meet new people and connect with other alumni in your area. True Tiger Networking Events
True Tigers, the student chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association, hosts several networking activities throughout the year. Each Fall, True Tigers organize the Networking Dinner which provides student members the opportunity to interact with alumni from around the country over dinner in the Reynolds Alumni Center. More than 250 alumni and students attend annually.
Dinner with 12 Tigers, held each Spring, serves up great food and conversation. Local alumni graciously open their homes to students, faculty, staff and alumni for dinner in an effort to enhance your Mizzou network.
