Mizzou Plates
MIZZOU plates are personalized plates and may contain from one to six characters or from one to five characters plus a dash. Mizzou Collegiate plates are available only for registered Missouri vehicles. Apply for or renew your Mizzou plates online via this online application form.

Mizzou Plate Basics
You do this...
- Make a tax-deductible donation of $25 to the University of Missouri-Columbia by sending a check to: Mizzou License Plate, 109 Reynolds Alumni Center, Columbia, MO 65211. Make your check payable to the University of Missouri. Sign up or renew your Mizzou plates online by simply filling out this application.
Note: If you are registering your car on a biennial basis, please indicate so on the application. You should double your donation ($50) on the online application in order to cover both years of your vehicle registration.
Mizzou does this...
After you submit the online application, the University will send you two documents: 1) a personalized plate application and 2) a "logo use authorization" form. The logo use authorization form is proof that you contributed to Mizzou, and will be required when you submit your plate application.
Complete your application...
If you want a Mizzou plate, you must complete a personalized plate application. Mizzou plates allow 6 spaces for your personalized message. If you don't want a personalized message on your plates, please write "issue random digits or letters" on your form. You will receive a randomly produced Mizzou plate. All Mizzou plates are considered to be personalized plates and require a $15 personalized fee.
Then...
Take your application, logo use authorization form, and $15 personalized plate fee to your local license bureau. OR Mail your application, logo use authorization form and $15 to Motor Vehicle Bureau, P.O. Box 100, Jefferson City, MO 65105-0100.
The final step...
Your plates will be ordered by the Department of Revenue. You will be notified by mail when your plates are available for pick up at your local license bureau. All questions about processing should be directed to the Department of Revenue via your local license bureau.
Just so you know...
You can order Mizzou plates at anytime regardless of your current license plate expiration date. Mizzou plates expire annually in the month in which they are first purchased. Yearly renewal requires a $25 donation to the University of Missouri-Columbia. When renewing, remember to take your current logo use authorization form with you along with other forms required by the Department of Revenue. If you renew on a biennial basis please be sure to pay a "double-donation" of $50 so that you can renew your license.
