Mizzou Plates

Mizzou plates are personalized plates and may contain up to six alphanumeric characters (or up to five alphanumeric characters plus one space, hyphen, or apostrophe). Mizzou Collegiate plates are available only for registered Missouri vehicles.

If you prefer, you may obtain your MIZZOU Emblem Use Authorization Statement (EUAS) online by simply filling out this
online application form.

Want to see how your personalized plate would look like? Click here and use the MO Dept. of Revenue's personal plate mock up program. At the bottom of the page under "Select a Design Category" select Collegiate and then University of Missouri-Columbia.

To check to see if your personalized configuration is available, contact the Missouri Department of Revenue by e-mail at mvbmail@dor.mo.gov or by calling (573) 526-3669 (call volumes may be heavy at times).

You can order Mizzou plates at anytime regardless of your current plate expiration date.

Mizzou Plate Basics

You do this...

Make a tax-deductible donation of $25 to the University of Missouri-Columbia by sending a check to: Mizzou License Plate, 109 Reynolds Alumni Center, Columbia, MO 65211. Make your check payable to the University of Missouri. If you prefer, you may obtain your MIZZOU Emblem Use Authorization Statement (EUAS) online by simply filling out this application.

Note: If you are registering your car on a biennial basis, please indicate so on the application. You should double your donation ($50) on the online application in order to cover both years of your vehicle registration.

Mizzou does this...

After you submit the online application, the University will send you a "logo use authorization" form. The logo use authorization form is proof that you contributed to Mizzou, and will be required when you submit your plate application.

Complete your application...

If you want a Mizzou plate, you must also complete a personalized plate application (Form 1716). If you prefer, you may fill out Form 1716 online.

Mizzou plates are personalized plates and may contain up to six alphanumeric characters (or up to five alphanumeric characters plus one space, hyphen, or apostrophe) for your personalized configuration. To check to see if a personalized configuration is available, contact the Missouri Department of Revenue by e-mail at mvbmail@dor.mo.gov

All Mizzou plates are personalized plates and require an annual $15 personalized fee.

Then...

Mail your application (Form 1716), EUAS (Mizzou Emblem Use Authorization Statement), and $15 personalized plate fee to Motor Vehicle Bureau, PO Box 569, Jefferson City, MO 65105.

The final step...

Your plates will be ordered by the Department of Revenue. You will be notified by mail when your plates are available for pick up at your local license office. All questions about processing should be directed to the Missouri Department of Revenue by e-mail at mvbmail@dor.mo.gov.

Just so you know...

You can order Mizzou plates at anytime regardless of your current license plate expiration date. All new/renewal Mizzou plates expire in July.

Yearly renewal requires a $25 donation to the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Renewing your plates:

When renewing, remember to take a current logo use authorization form (along with the other forms required by the Department of Revenue for renewal of your plates) to your local license office. If you renew on a biennial basis please be sure to pay a "double-donation" of $50 so that you can renew your license for two-years.
