This documentary follows educator Eliot Battle and the pivotal role he played in
desegregating schools, housing, and the Columbia community. As Eliot facilitated
changes with quiet resolve, he also faced resistance from both the black and white
communities. His calm demeanor and dedicated work within existing institutions
allowed him to bridge the gap between races and change Columbia for the better.

'Battle: Change From Within' has been a feature film at Columbia’s Ragtag Cinema, Kansas City Film Festival, San Diego Black Film Festival, and Offshoot Film Festival in northwest Arkansas.  Awards include the Telly award for Outstanding Documentary and Best Heartland Feature Documentary Award at the Kansas City Film Festival
