Nominate an outstanding alum for the 2012 Volunteer of the Year Awards by May 1!
Alumna Tricia Zimmer Ferguson, BS BA ’03, has been impacting Mizzou students and alumni since her days as a student. As an undergraduate she was active with the Trulaske College of Business, participating in Student Council and creating the Job Shadow mentoring program.
Since graduating from Mizzou in 2003, Tricia has continued to give back to her alma mater. She has served on the College Business’ Recent Alumni Advisory Board and Management Advisory Board. In 2007, Tricia established an endowed scholarship fund that provides assistance annually to a young woman from the St. Louis area who is pursuing a degree in business at Mizzou. Tricia is also an active member of the Griffiths Leadership Society, a mentoring and leadership organization that connects female graduates and students.
Each year the Mizzou Alumni Association recognizes outstanding alumni leaders like Tricia with the Volunteer of the Year Awards. The awards recognize outstanding service and leadership in three categories – lifetime service, sustained volunteer efforts, and recent graduates. Two awards are presented in each category – one to a volunteer who resides in Missouri and another to an individual who lives outside the state.
Nominations for the 2012 Volunteer of the Year Awards are due Tuesday, May 1. The awards will be presented at the annual leaders weekend banquet on Friday, Sept. 14 in Columbia. Click here to download a copy of the nomination form and click here to meet past award recipients.
