The nightly events continued with games of four square...
Night times were always really fun at the house. Night started off with a great meal prepared by two fellow students, Emily and Liz. This evening we had marinated chicken, salad, rolls, green beans, and ice cream. Thank you Emily and Liz for all of your hard work! You did a great job.
Living at on the beach had its downfall though. We were constantly attacked by pigeons. Every time we would try to eat outside, there were at least ten uninvited guests that joined us. This picture shows an event in which the guys decided to "annoy" us girls by "egging on" the pigeons with food. The birds flew around our heads and ate out of the guys’ hands. It was a little scary at times, I can see why some people are afraid of birds.
The great thing about living on the beach for the week was that I could roll out of bed and walk outside to the beach. Each morning I woke up early to spend some alone time on the beach, just listening to the waves and the birds was peaceful. I loved my relaxation time!
Now, I thought that living in the dorms was little cramped, but dorm life is luxurious compared to our beach house. This is a picture of my room at the house, a room that I shared with eight other girls. This room is the same size as my dorm room! We are talking tight quarters here. I slept on the top bunk, which was the third bed from the bottom! Dusty, hot, and high are adjectives used to describe this bunk. I throughly enjoyed spending a week with eight other girls, but I don’t think I could
After dinner, my friends and I went to see The Passion of Christ. We waited in line for an hour to get into the theater. Luckily we were able to wait inside because it was cold outside. The movie was very powerful! Mel Gibson is an amazing director. Above is a picture of my friends Krista and Dane who were two of the many friends that I attended the movie with.
Holla everyone! This week went by really fast! The homework piled way too high! It seemed that all I did was study, go to class, and handle one problem after another. This weekend though, I took a break from studying. On Friday night I went out to eat with a lot of my friends. We went to eat at El Maguey’s, a fabulous Mexican restaurant! Mixing good food with good company always equals a good time!
And finally, Sunday was the 76th annual Academy Awards. My favorite part about the Academy Awards is watching the actors, actresses, and directors walk in before the show on the red carpet. I love to look at their outfits and hear what they have to say about their movies and about the night. The show was rather dull this year because Lord of the Rings won everything, but I enjoyed watching it with Krista and Halley. If you are wondering about the picture, I forgot to bring my camera to the Acade
Ok, I know that you are thinking that I am completely goofy; however, this picture illustrates that even though I have entered college... I am still not the sophisticated college student. Most of the time college life can be too serious. I feel that I am always under a lot of stress and college really is a job for me. Sometimes, I just have to make fun of myself in order to make it through the day. So here I am in my shower cap getting ready to take a shower. My friend Krista thought that I look

This past weekend was Easter and I went home to be with my family. I was really excited this Easter because my grandma came to visit! I enjoyed spending time with her! Ever since I was seven years old, I have made an Easter Bunny cake with my mom. My mom kids me that my artistic ability has not changed since the first grade because my Easter bunny continually looks the same. This picture shows my grandma and I posing around the magnificent Easter Bunny.
The main reason that we were here was to represent Mizzou and attend seminars in which we could learn about other school programs that would be beneficial to implement at Mizzou. The programs were about everything from telecommunications to giving effective tours. On Saturday night we had a formal awards banquet. At the awards banquet, our advisor Carin Huffman was award the most outstanding advisor award! Congratulations Carin! You are amazing and deserve the best! AASB would not be AASB withou
We toured North Dakota State University and took goofy pictures at scenic parts of the campus. Here we are seen on a bridge located in the middle of campus.
The one thing that I love about spring is knowing that summer is right around the corner. This week on campus the weather has been absolutely beautiful, and the best is yet to come with a high of 82 degrees tomorrow! These past few weeks I have been really focused on studying because of all of the activities I have done on the weekends. The weekend after spring break I went with the Alumni Association Student board to Fargo, North Dakota for our district convention! At the convention we got to m

Finally, today was our Alumni Association Student Board new member retreat. At the retreat I got to get to know the students in our new member class a lot better. We played different games and talked about our role on AASB. I would like to thank Todd Coleman for coming to speak with us about the Alumni Association. I look forward to meeting everyone who works at the Alumni Association, making friendships within AASB, and helping keep all of the traditions of Mizzou alive.
One great part about coming back to Mizzou is being able to see my roommate Katie again! She is a fabulous person and a wonderful roommate to have! We have fun getting ready to go out on weekend nights, chit-chatting during the mornings, and singing along with the radio. Katie makes me feel like I have a sister! She is the best roommate that I could ever have asked for!

Hello everyone! It is great to be back on Mizzou campus after a long Christmas break. I am excited about this semester and hopefully my journal will showcase more activities that I will be involved in on Mizzou campus now that I have my foot in the door. This semester I have a variety of classes. I am taking English 20, History of Western Art, Macro Economics, Chancellor’s Leadership Class, Management 101, and Food Science. So far my classes have been pretty challenging. Looks like I will have a
This past weekend, a few of the girls from the BSU had a "Back to School Bash"! We made personal pan pizzas and talked about what we did over break.
The next night I went with a few friends to eat at a Japanese Steakhouse here in Columbia. I love watching the chefs prepare the food right in front of us. They are quite talented and seeing them work their magic is a great experience.
After a long week of classes, it was great to have a fun-filled weekend with my friends! My friend Krista came back to visit me at Mizzou. It has been really hard lately because Krista has transferred schools for the semester, so I do not get to see her everyday. I really enjoy spending weekends with her though. On Thursday night we went to Real Life at the Baptist Student Union and then went out to eat at Old Chicago’s. I met a lot of new people and am excited to get to know everyone better.
We also played the game "Moods" and learned a new line dance! I had a great time getting to know the girls, and look forward to spending more time with them in the future.
Since I have been back I have attended all three of the men’s home basketball games. They are really exciting! The Mizzou team had a great victory yesterday when we beat Kansas State University. This picture was taken at the MU vs. Nebraska, and this was the first MU basketball game that my two friends Krista and Holly have been to. It was a great game! We sat right behind the band, so we could see the "Whites of their eyes".
