Upon your graduation, what do you hope your impact at Mizzou has been?
I would hope that I left this place a little better than I found it, that I had a positive impact on the people I came in contact with and that while I was here, I contributed to the undergraduate experience that makes Mizzou home.

If you could be one Mizzou landmark or tradition, what would it be and why?
I would be the columns because they are a tribute to Mizzou's past, present and future. They are where students start their collegiate journey, they tower over us as we grow and mature and wish us luck as we graduate and transition to a new chapter in our lives.

Attending a university with over 32,000 students, how do you make Mizzou home?
By not being afraid to try something new and pursuing many of the organizations and experiences that seemed interesting and fun, a campus of 32,000 really seemed to shrink into a community of family and friends. Seeing every moment and taking advantage of each opportunity has allowed me to customize my Mizzou experience into something I wouldn't trade for the world.

What is the goal or mission of AASB?
AASB's mission and focus is to protect and enhance the unique traditions that Mizzou holds dear while instilling a sense of pride within the campus community that will forever connect students, faculty and staff to the university, its mission and its values.

Why did you choose to join AASB yourself?
Before entering Mizzou as a freshman, I had no idea how much I would grow to love this place. After a year through, I knew that I wanted to stay involved with Mizzou for the rest of my life. AASB would give me the opportunity to give back to my new home and through the Mizzou Alumni Association, I could begin a relationship that would keep me engaged even after I graduated.

How does AASB serve Mizzou and its students?
AASB and the Mizzou Alumni Association sponsor two of the largest events on campus, Tiger Walk and Senior Sendoff, as well as managing all the programming for True Tigers, the student membership of the Alumni Association. AASB serves as the liaison between MAA and the student body, and as such, helps students understand the importance of a lifelong relationship with Mizzou.

What sets AASB apart from others you have participated in?
The members of AASB are among the most passionate and enthusiastic supporters of all things Mizzou. They really are True Sons and True Daughters and the energy and pride with which they serve the campus community is unlike anything I've experienced in other organizations.

What do you hope to take away from your experience within AASB?
One thing I know I'll take away from my experience with AASB is the relationships that I've formed, not only with members, but also with Mizzou Alumni Association staff and alumni volunteers. I've been able to meet incredible alums from all over the state and country as well as individuals here in Columbia that I respect and admire and will be able to connect with wherever I go.

What is one thing you have done to better or improve AASB?
Our executive board has done a lot to improve our existing programs and made progress to offer new programs that we hope will become traditions themselves. Whether it was offering thousands of additional BEAT t-shirts during the football season, incorporating new events to Beat kU Week, or laying the foundation for a brand new traditions book to showcase all of the things that make Mizzou so special, the past year has been a great one for AASB, and its future is bright.
