What is Traditions Plaza?
In honor of MU's landmark 175th anniversary, the Mizzou Alumni Association made possible MU's newest campus landmark, Traditions Plaza. Located in the heart of campus on the Carnahan Quadrangle, Traditions Plaza is across the street from Jesse Hall along Conley Avenue.Traditions Plaza's convenient and central location is within steps of Reynolds Alumni Center, visitor parking and other attractions such as Beetle Bailey, Mizzou Legacy Walk, Jesse Hall and Francis Quadrangle.

The plaza is an outdoor gathering and programming space that bookends Tiger Plaza on the Carnahan Quad. Daytime or evening, Traditions Plaza serves as a beautiful setting to enjoy a concert, spirit rally, outdoor class, summer movie or other function (the audience faces Jesse Hall).

PHASE FIVE PAVER INSTALLATION DEADLINE: AUGUST 1, 2016

Project Donors, use the paver locator maps to find your brick(s).
Separate maps are available for the Traditions Plaza and the Mizzou Legacy Circle (the key to the maps are at the top - use Command F to search for the donor's name for each paver).

Honoring Our Shared Pride of Place:
Traditions Plaza has a variety of features honoring MU’s history and heritage. MU traditions along with notable quotations are etched in the bricks and tiles that create the stage and pillars making the plaza one of the most cherished and hallowed locations on central campus.

All alumni, students, fans, friends, faculty and staff are invited to take part in this special project by marking their names in MU history with an inscribed 4-by-8-inch or 8-by-8-inch paver. Inscribed pavers are available in two locations: on the main stage and on the Mizzou Legacy Circle.
Learn more about paver options or read our inscription guidelines.

In Gratitude to Our Mizzou Legacies:
The circular brick landing at the top of the hill is named the Mizzou Legacy Circle. This premium location is reserved for 4-by-8-inch pavers purchased exclusively by MU legacies and their families. MU legacies and legacy families have the option of placing their paver on the Mizzou Legacy Circle or on the main stage of the Traditions Plaza.

What is a legacy?
If anyone in your immediate family graduated from MU before you, then you are a legacy; this includes siblings, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. If a family has two or more generations of Mizzou Tigers, they are considered a legacy family.
