Regional Mizzou G.O.L.D. Awardee Greg Bailey BSBA ’96 Marketing President of the Tigers of the Corn Chapter in Omaha, Neb., Greg Bailey, BSBA ’96, received his degree in marketing. With a family legacy of Mizzou volunteerism in his background, Greg Bailey has energetically led the Tigers of the Corn Chapter in Omaha, Neb. Dedication, enthusiasm and contagious spirit are just a few of the words used by his nominator to describe Greg’s leadership. As the chapter president, Greg reached out to members, sharing his vision for the chapter and inviting others to get involved. He regularly communicates with members and is always asking for their ideas. Greg led the chapter in combining a traditional array of chapter events -watch parties and road trips - along with several new projects. Helping recruit new students to Mizzou took on special meaning for the chapter. The chapter board members visited every high school in Omaha and the Council Bluff areas. On these visits students, as well as counselors, were contacted. Current information about MU was provided and news of the chapter’s scholarship program was shared. Last spring the chapter assembled “care packages” for each MU student from the Omaha area. Students stopped by the alumni center, met the leaders and picked up their gifts, including items to enjoy during finals. Greg Bailey’s leadership of the Tigers of the Corn combines a passion for bringing people together around a shared goal with his personal attention to each person he meets.
