Welcome from Jeff Donoho. Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
Major: Journalism
Hey new Tigers, congratulations on your acceptance to the University
of Missouri. I know that the following summer months will bring loads
of literal and figurative sweat as high temperatures and college anxiety
overcome you. But hey don't worry, the freshman year of college is a
great one.
Please take time, to read my journal and look at the pictures that documented
my freshman year for the Mizzou Alumni Association. Knowing what you can
expect your first year here will certainly alleviate some of that college-anxiety
sweating.
As for the hot temperatures of summer, well I guess you'll just have
to deal with it.
Go Tigers! And welcome to Mizzou!

Welcome from Kelly Trosen. Hometown: Kirksville, MO
Major: Accounting Right now you are probably thinking about the end of your senior year.
Spending time with friends, going to the prom, finishing up your last
classes and preparing for graduation are the major items on your list.
You are ready for summer to come so you can be free from all the stress.
You have accomplished so much this year and one of the best decisions
you have made is to attend Mizzou. You will find that the MU family is
just what you read and hear about! Students just like you who are excited
and yet a bit anxious at the same time about going away to college.
In no time at all, you will move into your residence hall and begin
your new life. Take time to knock on the door of that person next door;
for she may be your new best friend. She will celebrate your successes
and help you up when you fall. Becoming a part of Mizzou means getting
involved in that special group that interests you. Trying out new things
will help you discover who you are.
Again, welcome to Mizzou! I know that you will like it here as much
as I do. It really is my home away from home. Can’t wait to see
you on campus next fall.
